Painting has been a passion of mine since I was very young. At the beginning of 2020, I decided to change the canvas I used to paint on, to something more wearable. Custom clothes were always ordinary, but shoes were unheard of, especially where I am from in Massachusetts. I asked a friend if I could paint his shoes in memory of our best friend's passing, and little did I know that one question would help create my small business. I had very little knowledge of the custom shoe industry and didn't know anyone in it. I had no techniques, not to mention I used the wrong paint to begin with. Everything I’ve created through customizing has been self-taught. Unfortunately, I don't have image proof of every custom shoe I've created, but it has been a fun journey, and I've come so far.
Originally, I was known as IT Customz. The I and T are my initials and customz refers to hand-painted shoes. My initials are still found in my social media handles simply because the user was unavailable without it. With my art career starting to take off, I had to rebrand and I wanted to simplify and match my multimedia art brand, BDesignz.
I thank you all for the continuous love and support, especially those who've been with me since day one. I’m so excited to see what the future holds as I continue to strive for more.
